A New Chapter in Juniata
God is writing a beautiful new story in the Juniata neighborhood. For years, the pastors and leaders of Overflow Church, Renew Church, and The Cord have prayed about expanding into neighborhoods where people live, work, and play. In 2025, God opened an unexpected door:
Juniata United Presbyterian Church generously gifted its facility at 522 N Seventh Ave for the planting of a new neighborhood church.
This extraordinary act of faith and generosity laid the foundation for what is becoming the Juniata Neighborhood Church—a local, relational, missional expression of the Church in Juniata.
Their gift wasn’t simply the transfer of a building. It was an invitation…

And that is exactly what we are doing
Our Vision
The Juniata Neighborhood Church exists to help people experience the hope, love, and transforming grace of Jesus where they live, work, and play.
We are intentionally:
Simple
Gathering around God’s Word, prayer, and community. No pressure, no pretense—just people following Jesus together.
Local
Rooted deeply in the Juniata neighborhood. We want to be good neighbors, build meaningful relationships, and serve the community in practical ways.
Multiplying
We believe churches should give birth to more churches. We want to see more neighborhood churches started across Blair County and beyond in the years ahead.
Missional
Every person is invited to live as a missionary in everyday life. We believe God sends ordinary people into workplaces, families, schools, sports teams, and neighborhoods to bring hope.
A Gift That Launched a Movement
We honor and celebrate the legacy of Juniata United Presbyterian Church.
For nearly a century, they faithfully preached Jesus, loved their neighbors, and invested in the next generation. When the time came to close their doors, they made a courageous, Kingdom-minded decision: they gave their building to us to plant a new church in Juniata.
That gift is already bearing fruit.
Prayer meetings. Worship nights. Youth gatherings. Neighborhood service. Relationships with families. New ministries.
Their legacy continues — and the gospel continues to advance.

We encourage individuals, families, and small groups to choose a regular time each week to pray for:
The families and homes on their block
Schools and students in Juniata
Those who are hurting, lonely, or struggling
God to raise up new disciples, leaders, and teams
The launch of the new Juniata Neighborhood Church
You can pray right where you are — at home, at work, with your family, or in a small group. Prayer is the foundation of everything we’re building.
